Treadmill vs Stepper

The Days of 40 - 60 minute workouts on oversized machines are over,
see how X-iser stacks up against the treadmill.

X-iser

Sprint Train Safely

When you stop, it stops. This is very important because sprint training involves using maximal effort to fatigue meaning your legs can give in without warning.

There is also no risk of slipping or tripping.

Unsafe to sprint train

(Not recommended even by the manufacturers)
High risk of injury though tripping/falling.
Does not stop quickly enough at high speed, even when using the emergency stop button and even if it did your momentum would carry you into the control panel.

 No Impact

X-iser’s unique design allows the user sprint at any speed without impact thus eliminating injury to the foot, ankle, knee, back and neck.

It also prevents and aids rehabilitation of shin splints.

 Impact

Even if you manage to avoid injury by not falling off a treadmill, you will be at risk of an impact injury to the ankle, knee and/or hip joint due to the pressure exerted on the joints.

It can also lead to injury and/or discomfort to the neck and back as the discs between the vertebrae are constantly compressed.

You more likely to suffer from injury from impact if you are heavy set or deconditioned.

 Efficient Sprint Cycle

One of the major benefits of the X-iser is that you perform your sprint in a static equilibrium. In other words it forces your muscles to stay engaged throughout the whole movement without giving them a chance to rest. This results in a far more effective workout.

This cannot be achieved on any other piece of fitness equipment.

 Inefficient Sprint Cycle

When sprinting on a treadmill your body doesn't work
as hard because the belt pushes your foot backwards not you.

This allows the muscle to rest between strides which results in a far more inefficient sprint cycle.

Mobile / Easily Stored / Use in a Confined Space

The X-iser is compact ( 21" x 14"x 4" ) and thanks to its frame being manufactured from Aircraft Grade Aluminium it only weights 6kg.

It requires no electricity and can easily be taken anywhere and used anywhere.

Static / Hard to Store / Large Space Required

Big, Bulky, Heavy and requires electricity

 User friendly

The Xiser is robust with a safe user load of 35 stones.
It is so easy to assemble you can be sprint training within 60 seconds of taking it out of the box.

 NOT user friendly

Most home use treadmills have restricted user loads and it can quite often be a two person job to move and assemble.

Owner Friendly

Built to last a lifetime, using quantity materials such as aircraft grade aluminium.

Limited moving parts and no electronics means less to go wrong.Maintenance free.

Strong residual value thanks to high demand and lack of second hand machines for sale.

 NOT Owner Friendly

Cheap plastics, motors and electronics combined with lots of moving parts means a limited life.

Maintenance required.

Poor re-sale value.

 Promotes Good Posture

Designed by World renowned Professor of Sports Bio-Mechanics Juris Terauds the X-iser requires you to maintain good posture even when at maximal effort.

Your position on the X-iser ensures correct ankle, knee, and hip alignment.

 Encourages Bad Posture

Sprinting on a treadmill is not a natural movement due to the belt pulling your foot backwards creating an unbalanced posture.

Your posture gets worst the more you fatigue which can lead to injury, discomfort and bad postural habits away from training

 Quiet

The specially designed hydraulic cylinders are whisper quiet. The only sound you will hear is the sound of your own breathe. This is of particular benefit if you share a house or live in an apartment block. It also allows you workout anytime of the night or day with disturbing anyone.

 Noisy

As well as the sound of the motor, sprinting on a treadmill is extremely noisy due to the impact.

 Multi-Functional

The X-iser is multi-functional. As well as the traditional standing sprint position there three other key exercises that can be performed in different positions to challenge the whole body including glutes, core, back, chest and shoulders whilst still applying the burst training method.

A dumbbell curl and press and also be perform while sprinting for an added challenge.

Uphill sprinting can easily be accommodated by standing on the edge of the pedals and leaning forward slightly.

Last but not least, the variable resistance can be set to heavy for those of you who require or enjoy longer endurance training sessions.

 Single Function

Running is the only exercise that can be performed on a treadmill and because the belt pulls your foot back for you it leaves you with a muscle imbalance because the hamstrings and glutes don’t have to engage as you push forward.

 Buy with Confidence

X-iser comes with a complete 5 year manufacturers warranty.

Hope for the Best

 Value for Money
